for Binance Futures PnL

This Privacy Policy describes how your information is collected, used, and shared when you install and use the Binance Futures PnL browser extension (the “Extension”).

1. Information We Collect

No personal data, no account required. The Extension does not collect, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information. It only requests public market data from Binance and keeps your watchlist and preferences on your own device.

Specifically, the Extension handles the following types of data:

1.1 Your Watchlist and Position Preferences (Stored Locally)

The Extension lets you build a personal watchlist of Binance futures symbols and, optionally, record rough position details to compute profit/loss. The following items are stored in your browser using the Chrome storage API:

The list of futures symbols you add (e.g. BTCUSDT, ETHUSDT).
The average entry (cost) price you enter for each symbol, used only to calculate a PnL percentage.
The trade direction you select for each symbol (Long / Short).
Which symbols you “pin” for the toolbar badge rotation.
Display preferences, such as the profit color scheme (green-up or red-up).
The latest market price values received for your symbols (cached locally so the badge can update between refreshes).

This data is entered and controlled entirely by you. The Extension does not connect to your Binance account, does not place or view any real orders, and never asks for API keys, passwords, or wallet information.

1.2 Chrome Sync

Your selected-symbol watchlist is saved using chrome.storage.sync, which means it may be synchronized across the devices on which you are signed in to Chrome with the same Google account and have sync enabled. This synchronization is handled by the browser’s own sync mechanism; the Extension itself does not operate any server to receive this data.

1.3 Public Market Data Requests

To display prices and PnL, the Extension fetches public market data directly from Binance’s public endpoints:

REST API: https://fapi.binance.com/fapi/v1/… (e.g. the list of tradable symbols and latest prices).
WebSocket: wss://fstream.binance.com/ws (real-time price ticker while the popup is open).

These requests contain only the symbol names you have added, in order to retrieve their public price. They do not include any personal information, and no authentication credentials are ever sent. Standard network metadata (such as your IP address) is handled by Binance in accordance with its own privacy policy as part of serving these public requests.

2. What We Do NOT Do

Binance Futures PnL does not:

Collect any personally identifiable information (PII)
Require or perform user registration, login, or authentication
Connect to your Binance account or request API keys, passwords, or wallet access
Place, modify, or cancel any trades
Send your data to any server other than the public Binance market-data endpoints described above
Use any analytics, telemetry, tracking, or crash-reporting services
Show advertisements of any kind
Set or read third-party cookies
Read, monitor, or inject into the content of any web pages you visit
Access your browsing history, bookmarks, passwords, or other browser data

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

The Extension does not collect personal information and does not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties. The only outbound network activity is the retrieval of public market price data from Binance, as described in section 1.3.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

All watchlist and preference data is stored locally in your browser and can be fully removed at any time by:

Uninstalling the Extension — This removes all data associated with the Extension from your browser.
Removing items in the popup — Delete individual symbols from your watchlist, or clear your entry prices, at any time.
Clearing synced data — Manage or disable Chrome sync in your browser settings if you do not want your watchlist synchronized across devices.

The Extension does not retain any copies of your data on any server once it is removed from your browser.

5. Required Permissions

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions, each used only for the purposes described:

Permission	Purpose
`storage`	To save your watchlist, entry prices, trade directions, pinned symbols, and display preferences locally (and to sync the selected-symbol list across your own devices via Chrome sync).
`alarms`	To periodically refresh price data in the background so the toolbar badge stays up to date.
Host access to `https://fapi.binance.com/fapi/v1/*`	To fetch public futures market data (symbol list and prices) used to display prices and calculate PnL.

No broad host permissions, no tabs history access, and no content scripts injected into web pages are requested.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Extension is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The “Last updated” date at the top of this document will be revised accordingly.
